About Lynda

Lynda is from South Shields and brings a Geordie baking tradition to the family kitchen. She works as an experienced teaching assistant and knows that food can be as much about patience, encouragement and shared time as it is about ingredients.

She especially loves home baking with her grandson Tommy. Cakes and scones are firm favourites, while her panackelty represents the comforting, practical dishes associated with Sunderland, South Shields and the wider North East. Lynda is averse to cream and cheese, so her cooking often leans toward simpler, less rich flavours. Lynda is Paula's sister-in-law-to-be.
